Bridge filk

I just made this up while sitting in the CS lounge. I feel so *wrong*

"Oops, I bid it again"
to the tune of "Oops I did it again" by Britney Spears

I think I bid it again
I made you believe we've got lots of points
Oh baby
It might seem like we've got slam
But it doesn't mean that I've got support
'Cause to bid all my bad suits
That is just so typically me

Oh, baby baby
Oops, I bid it again
I raised your one heart
And forced you to game
Oh baby baby
Oops, you think we've got trump
That we're making slam...
I'm not that strong a hand

You see my problem is this
I'm dreaming away
Wishing that points would truly exist
I bid like I'm in a daze
Can't you see that I'm psyching in so many ways?
But to raise on a yarborough
That is just so typically me

Oops, I bid it again,
I raised your one heart,
etc etc etc

ahhhhhhhh

OK, what scares me is not that you made the takeoff, but that you knew the tune well enough to be able to make the takeoff.

Yes, but when I come up with alternative lyrics to a song. I usually have the song in my head first. I don't go looking for a song and then mold lyrics to it.

Although in this case, you could be bee thinking "Opps I did it again. Hmmmmmmm maybe I can make a takeoff to the stupid Britny Spears song. I wonder if I can find the lyrics." I'll assume that this is the case and I don't have to be as scared

If you've caught 5 seconds of that song, you know the whole thing.

Thought this up this morning - haven't refined yet, but thought I'd get it down...
To R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts"
When the day is long and the night, the night is yours alone,
when you're sure you've had enough of this life, well hang on.
Don't let yourself go, everybody cries and everybody works sometimes.

Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it's time to sing along.
When your day is night alone, (code on, code on)
if you feel like letting go, (code on)
when you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on.

Everybody works. Take comfort in your friends.
Everybody works. Don't throw your hand. Oh, no. Don't throw your hand.
If you feel like you're alone, no, no, no, you are not alone

If you're on your own in this life, the days and nights are long,
when you think you've had too much of this life to hang on.

Well, everybody works sometimes,
everybody cries. And everybody works sometimes.
And everybody works sometimes. So, code on, code on.
code on, code on. code on, code on. code on, code on. (repeat & fade)
(Everybody works. You are not alone.)
