Last year Pau couldn't go with me when the Marines played the Tigers in Chiba, so we made up for it this year since he's disappearing soon and all. I managed to beg invitation tickets from Lotte, so we were sitting right behind home plate! Very exciting and a good idea since Pau was in his Tigers gear and I was in my Marines gear, so we met in the middle as it were. At least we could agree to get Bobby Burgers from the stadium Lotteria beforehand.
The game was tied 1-1 for a very long time on a Craig Brazell homer and a Tomoya Satozaki homer. Then Lotte scored 3 runs in the 8th inning and won the game 4-1. I know Pau hasn't seen the Tigers win in a while, but Bobby needed that win more than Hanshin did... kind of. The fans are submitting the "Keep Bobby in Chiba" petition on Monday and I think they're near 100,000 signatures, which is pretty crazy.
Oh, and Dec hooked me up with a Bobby 2010 t-shirt so now I'm one of teh cool kids too! Thinking of going to a Marines game at Jingu this week just so I have an excuse to wear it.
I dragged Pau through the Marines museum afterwards since I hadn't been in there for a while. It hasn't changed much but there is a nice ticket display now, including tickets that were printed but never used for the 1981 Japan Series (as the Fighters won the playoffs that year instead).
Went home after that. I would have done laundry tonight but it was raining and it always takes forever for anything to dry in these conditions, so maybe tomorrow. Instead I played PP, rather than grinding out a game report. I suck, I know.
Crud, also still need to find a place to stay in Hiroshima next weekend and a solution to my i-dont-have-a-lens-wider-than-70mm problem.

(I discovered that at a minor-league game, that the lens cover had shattered and some glass had gotten into the lens and it wouldn't adjust or focus anymore.)
So I dunno if I should be trying to find another cheap used 18-55, or just go ahead and suck it up and get the 18-200. Sigh. But yeah, right now all I have that works is a 70-300 and a 50mm. I don't know what to do with the 18-55, actually.
