I just wish I'd gotten more done
Rainy day, ni-gun in Urawa was cancelled, ni-gun in Kamagaya was cancelled, so I stayed at home for most of the day. Watched the Carp-Giants game on TV for a bit because OMG TAKESHI KOMATSU WAS STARTING which was crazy because the last time I saw him pitch, which was last fall, he was still a university student at Hosei. And now he's a pro. He put up 7 innings of 1-run ball (a homerun by that weasel Wakiya) and I can't complain about that. I just wish the Carp had beaten the Giants, but instead they lost 2-1.
I did laundry, so I guess it wasn't an entirely unproductive day. And I kind of worked on other things, but didn't really get much done because I was feeling so lazy.
Eventually I left the house to get some food. I also went to the Shimaura Bookoff just to see where it was, and so I'd have an excuse to ride my bike for a while. It turns out to be down a huge hill, which kind of sucks. On the other hand I think a Yuki Saito fan must have dropped off their magazine collection there recently as there were a ton of recent college baseball magazines and 2006 Koshien magazines and such. It was awesome rereading the 2006 ones, maybe I should buy them if they're still there next time I'm out that way. I never buy Koshien photobooks but really, it's awesome looking at them a few years later and seeing who went pro, who's in college, etc.
But yeah, other than that, I haven't really done crap today, just sat here a lot, worked on blogging, but mostly got sidetracked reading other stuff. I really DO need to do some baseball-related Perl hacking one of these days, oddly enough. But tomorrow night I'm thinking of heading to Ikebukuro Mint to do some baseball card research instead. Whee.
