sick sick suck
So this morning I woke up around 7am because my throat hurt like hell and I couldn't swallow. After realizing that no, it wasn't just a dry throat, I chugged some DayQuil and went back to sleep. I felt really cold so I put on an extra blanket. I woke up an hour later feeling really warm so I took off all my blankets. I got up an hour or two later for real and didn't feel too bad, so I took a shower and walked to work and all.
I felt pretty sluggish at work, though. At one point Carl came in to talk and to teach me more kanji and I swear it was like I wasn't even there, but someone else was and I was looking through their eyes at a whiteboard filled with Japanese characters that I didn't understand. I told him my morning symptoms. He said, "You're sick. Go away." A few minutes later our manager came by and said the same thing.
So I went home around 3:30 and went to sleep. I've been sleeping in these little 15-20 minute spats because I keep waking up because either my neck is uncomfortable or it's loud outside or my throat hurts. The Quil does good stuff for it, but it's not perfect.
I'm not running a fever. Infact, I'm running my normal 96.5-97.0 range of temperatures. I'm hoping this is just what Nick had last weekend and it'll go away if I spend most of the day and night sleeping.
Bob Rost sent me a rom for his nintendo research project. What's a good Nintendo emulator for Win2K? (Since I still have a working NES I never bother with emulators...)
