shopping and stuff
Today I went downtown to meet up with some old blogosphere friends of mine, Graham and Matthew... who really have apparently become a hive mind, it seems, as they now are roomates downtown as well as running Statcorner and modding LL and whatnot. We got Thai food and told baseball stories (I am not actually sure whose are better, mine or Matthew's. Probably his).
Oh, funny thing, so Graham got pulled into a meeting right before we were meeting for lunch so it got delayed half an hour. I walked to Elliott Bay Book Company, and on the way I ran into my friend Josh. Weird.
After lunch Graham and I walked back to Westlake (he works near there), and I went to the Mariners team store and bought a ticket to Fan Fest, so, I'm going on Saturday, if anyone wants to come with me. At the store, they had a case full of autographed baseballs, and I was like "are any of these guys still on the team?" and the guy's like "No. That's why they're in this case." I knew where about half of them were now... it was pretty weird.
I took the 41 bus to Northgate and clothes shopped for the afternoon, which is really difficult for me. I still did NOT find jeans to replace my Perfect Jeans that Lee discontinued... but I did find a cute skirt at Target for $5, and a really cute shirt/sweater combo at Macy's that was on sale... and then I tried on a bazillion pairs of jeans at JC Penney's and it was all a big pile of fail. I also tried on jeans at some other places and it was also a pile of fail. This sucks. I should just write to Lee and yell at them for ruining my life!
It got late, because shopping and walking is actually kind of exhausting. I ate dinner at Chipotle because they have one in Northgate now (yay), and then I got the 75 bus and came home! Good for me going all over the city on public transit!
When I got home, we ended up watching Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, since Zach has the DVD. Carl hadn't seen it before... I guess it was still amusing. I wanted to see the DVD extras, like the ELE entries... and you know what? With maybe two exceptions, the ones that got accepted, IMO, were not really as good as I expected them to be. I mean, in that field, I think
jayspec's entry should have gotten accepted, at least.
Oh well.
I need to do more clothes shopping, which sucks. I'll get to it some other day.
Also, Seattle is very foggy.
