Found in an arcade near the Tokyo Dome that I'd never been in before

Seriously, I went down to Suidobashi/etc for lunch today and in my wanderings, came across various interesting stuff that I hadn't seen before.

One obnoxious thing: it SEEMS that I have a JUNIOR Fighters fan club membership card for some unknown fucking reason? I don't really know, it's a bit odd, but when I went to buy a ticket to the game on the 19th the lady was like "wtf why are you trying to use some kid's card with a big J on it?" and I'm like "..." I just checked my envelope from when I got it and it says a regular card, etc, so I don't really know. I guess I will either go ask the Fighters Fan Club at the Tokyo Dome next week, or email my friend who works for them and see if he can help me in English.

I called some Mint stores in the area before heading back. Akihabara's has Bikkuriman but they DIDN'T have GG Satoh. He is my NEMESIS, I tell you. I guess I'll call around a bit more sometime soon -- I am not eating any more stupid wafers.

I played IIDX tonight because I didn't feel like waiting for Pop'n. I suck at IIDX. It makes me sad.

Also, there is much sucking at baseball going on for teams I support in the olympics.

I'm in Vancouver, and I stopped in at CHQ. I think I counted four dance games: ITG2, DDR Extreme, DDR SN, and DDR SN2. That's a little nuts.

Well, see, the thing is, now I know of... TWO places with DDR in Tokyo! One in Shinjuku, and now this place by the Tokyo Dome.
I just don't see DDR machines at all anymore, so I was surprised to see these. The arcade also had a Beatmania (not IIDX) 6th UK Underground machine. Totally oldskool.
Phylicia had asked if I knew of any places with DDR and I was like "not really... I know one, but it's kind of out of the way and nowhere near where we are."

Do they have Jubeat over there yet?

EDIT> oh and I should mention that this is the first time I've seen a PPP machine in Japan since 2003.

Heheh, if you ever run into an arcade with a IIDX 3rd with projection monitor, be sure to post about it :) (I saw in some blog awhile ago someone who seemed to have found one in good condition, including new-seeming projection tube!)

I haven't seen Jubeat around here ever. I haven't been paying close attention, though.

Even SN1 is a bit odd. I thought game centers in Japan always, always, always had the newest version of any Bemani.

I've still never seen an actual PPP machine. The arcade I go to here now has DDR Supernova 2 hooked up to e-amusement, but just one machine. I think the Urban Square in Osu has 2 machines next to each other though.

it's near the Baseball Cafe, down in that area. I can't think of how to describe it exactly but if you wander around near the building that has that restaurant and the Shonen Jump store and all, you'll find it. from the front it just looks like a stupid arcade with some capsule games and UFO catchers but if you go in you'll find all of this crazy Bemani. Seriously.
