An entry about, well, nothing

It's Monday morning, because I was too zonked last night to write LJ.

I went to the Seibu Dome for the Fighters game. I made a Tadano sign. I got to see a Tadano eephus pitch, and I also got to see the Fighters GET THEIR ASS KICKED by the Lions 11-2. I had met up with a bunch of Fighters fans who saved me a seat in the benches, and when I arrived it was towards the end of BP, so I put down my bag and was like "oh, hold on, I gotta go say hi to Brian Sweeney." They thought I was kidding. I wasn't. Hehe. Sadly a lot of people left once the Fighters were down a lot of points so it was kind of depressing, but probably still better than sitting by myself in the infield (I was given a free ticket by a Seibu Lions front office guy, that was cool!)

The ouendan made up a new ouenka for Jason Botts to the tune of the Ponyo theme (new Ghibli movie). It essentially goes "Botts, Botts, Botts, Jason Botts, he came from a faraway country and hits BIG BIG FOULS." They were like "If he hits a homerun we'll change it." (I have videos up on my Youtubes.)

I came home and went to Kura for dinner because I had eaten a sandwich all day. Apparently at 10pm on Sunday night they are OUT of like, everything I like to order... even TUNA ROLLS were off the menu system. WTF that sucked.

I stopped at the supermarket on the way home, and I swear between the supermarket and my apartment -- about 4 blocks -- I saw no less than 8 stray cats. There's this one block that particularly usually has a lot of them, but this was even more than usual. Like there was a trash bin on the side of the road and it was moving, so I go to investigate, and sure enough, there is a cat inside it.

Got home and could not find a news broadcast talking baseball, it was only olympics. There was a bit on Koshien but that was it. So instead I watched a music TV show... saw a bizarre Johnny's agglomeration singing BO0WY's "Marionette", with the Domoto guys on guitar and Ikuta Toma singing. It wasn't bad. Then there was a show with Southern All-Stars on... and you could see that the entire audience in front was women staring at Keisuke Kuwata adoringly. The funny part about this to me is that... well... most of the time when you see SAS, you will notice that there is a woman playing keyboards and singing, about 10 feet behind him? That's his wife of the last 30 years or whatever. I guess she is also staring adoringly at him, but still.

I stayed up WAY too late playing the Puzzle Pirates olympic bakeoff thing, which I have decided not to participate in anymore because it's fucking retarded. You spend all of this time doing puzzles, you have no idea how you are actually doing in the competition, and then at the end of the time period, you get an announcement saying someone else has won. That's stupid. I'll get a trinket for having participated, I think I will leave it at that.
