1) I just got email asking if I'd want to lecture or lead projects in CS for Governor's School this summer. Whoa. I wonder if I should think about that. The problem of course would be that then I'd definitely be in town all summer.

2) I'm trying to make a new LJ picture out of those kitten shots. I wish I knew how to get more LJ pictures allowed than just ten (yes I have a paid account):

The pictures look a little dark to me, for what that's worth.

I pulled a picture of you off of my camera that might work well; I'll try to remember to send it to you tonight. (I've been meaning to do that anyway.)

I think the middle one is best, but it is a bit dark.

Of these three, I think the middle's best. I like the closer crop in the last, but the 3/4 of a cat head is disturbing, and it looks more like you're hiding behind the cat than holding it. You could probably get a similar close effect by chopping 5-10 pixels from the left side of the middle picture (making it more rectangular).

A bit of either artificial brightening (easy) or reducing the brightness and contrast of the background a bit (harder) might be good, too.

If you're not sure which pictures to keep or drop to stay at <= 10, you could always ask Eli (or someone else whose opinion you trust) which to drop.

Someday it may be possible for an additional cost, but personally, I think it'd just cause problems to allow extra pictures. Too many issues when paid time expires and tracking another form of payment. Of course, I am allowed 15, but that's cause I'm uberspecial. If they ever sell permanent accounts again you can try to get one, but again, I hope that doesn't happen because that ~really~ is a bad idea - short term gain at a long term cost. They are still earnable (which is how I got mine) but way more work than it's worth unless you really enjoy helping out. :/

But I found 10 pics to be alright. You can always remove some if you get tired of them and replace them. Although I prefer not to remove old pics.
