My life is like an eternal weekend
Today I went with Sam Pinansky to the Beaver Valley Mall to play DDR 4th mix. We had lunch at Chick-Fil-A, and now I'm pretty convinced that it agrees with my stomach for DDR-playing purposes, a lot better than Burger King does (see this entry for that story). Anyway. There weren't nearly as many people there today. It was just us for a while. The guy with piercings from last Saturday whose name I don't know showed up at one point, and these two highschool kids were there playing for a bit, and Chris the guy who works at the arcade was there for a bit, and that was about it.
I played in my red chucks and my feet didn't hurt quite as much as last time. I tied them tighter, so maybe it led to them slipping less, etc... I don't really know. I did try playing in my black slipper shoes and that didn't work very well at all. I still dunno whether I should go buy new sneakers.
The right side of the machine has one sensor shot on the left arrow. That's not usually such a bad thing (there are four sensors after all...) unless you're specifically trying to gauge how well you're doing on some songs for purposes of practicing for a tournament, and the four you miss because of it actually make a big difference. Bleh. Chris says they'll have it fixed by then, I hope they do.
Anyway, I came home and was indecisive for a little, and then Eli and I ate dinner (leftover chili) and I wasted time on SimCity and then we went to see The Man Who Wasn't There in McConomy at 10pm where we ran into several random people. I saw Erik from WhizBang who is also being gainfully unemployed, and I saw Arvonn Tully, who I hadn't seen in a really really long time, and Marty Zinkevich (Kaustuv's officemate who I know from vball and stuff) sat next to me and Eli with a buncha people. And jcreed and Martin and Kaustuv were all there too, and some other assorted lounge people.
The movie itself was... really wacky. I would recommend seeing it, although I don't know if I will ever see it again. It was a really dark comedy by the Coen brothers. Keep in mind the only other Coen movie I'd seen was Blood Simple, so now I figure all of their movies involve Frances McDormand cheating on her husband and someone getting killed in a very bloody and freaky way and then the rest of the movie dealing with that fact. Billy Bob Thornton, who I don't really like all that much, did a great job in this movie, which was also a high point of it.
Hmm, I wish I knew what I was doing for the rest of the weekend. Not having definite plans for anything (well, Sunday is sort of planned out, but it always is) sort of makes me sad.

Sam Pinansky is my Algo TA, but is in OS with me. It's odd, because one of my OS TA's is in Algo with me...
