I can has music
Today after work I went up to Saitama Shintoshin to get an avocado burger. No, really. You'd do things like that too if you lived in Japan long enough.
They had this Christmas tree in the courtyard at the mall there, and it had a musical keyboard of sorts attached to it -- that is, it had buttons labelled "do re mi" etc. When you pressed a button not only did it play a music note, but it also lit up various sections of the tree. This couple was standing at it punching random buttons and being all like "wtf I don't get it". They saw me staring at them and walked off, giving me a sort of dirty how-dare-you-stare-at-us look. So I went up to it and played a few notes to watch the tree, then burst into the first song I could think of, Jingle Bells. I played it twice and I even heard a "hey!" from behind me after the "jingle all the way" line. Sure enough, there were like six or seven people standing behind me smiling, even the aforementioned couple. I sort of smiled and nodded and ran off.
As I was walking out of the courtyard I heard other people trying to play Jingle Bells. Poorly. It was kind of funny.
