My brain is burnt out on dorama
Catching up on more Hanakimi dorama. Man, it's good. Episode 8 was probably one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time, although Episode 9 where Inagaki Goro shows up as a psychotic teacher was getting sort of stupid. On the other hand, I'm finally really catching the silly jokes pretty well (and wondering how many of them are straight out of the anime/manga, like always getting Sekime's name wrong, or the whole "odamari Komari!" thing). I finally sort of get why people like Toma so much, although I also sometimes wonder about the believability of this plot, but hey, whatever.
I dunno what to say about today, because it was pretty much mostly classes. My Saturdays are pretty crazy now -- if all of my scheduled students actually showed up, I would have been doing 410 minutes of teaching today (7 classes plus a flex PL), but one PL cancelled and my semi-PLs never come. My 1pm students brought me stuff from their recent trips :) The one who went to Italy brought back a set of postcards and told me to choose some, and the one who went to Canada brought back postcards AND a box of maple cookies which were really good! I wonder if there's something I can bring or do for classes as well, to let everyone know that I think they are awesome too.
After work I went to Shinjuku with Eri and we wandered around for a while and eventually got dinner at the pasta place we went to last time. I had yummy eggplant-on-spaghetti, and some salad! Salad! I really need to eat salad more often.
I was wearing a short skirt today, and realized I still looked out of place. I got back up north around 10pm and stopped in at Ito Yokado and looked at some clothes, but ended up not getting anything. It's depressing how some things, like shoes and tights, even in large sizes, stop right before they get to my size (I wear a 26cm, the women's shoes stop at 25; the L-LL sized tights literally are for 1cm shorter than me or 3cm smaller hips). Eh, whatever.
Oh yeah, I checked in on the playoffs periodically during the day (well, between the 1-2 classes because my student wanted to know the score, heh). The Fighters won in the afternoon, Darvish pitching a CG win, and when I got back north from dinner, I had a message from
the2belo saying something like "Wooo Dragons". Yeah, not only did the Dragons win too, Kenshin pitched 5 perfect innings to start off, but Morino hit a signature 3-run homer! Morinooooooooooo :)
I wonder what'll happen if there's another Dragons-Fighters series. I also realized that Nov 3 is a holiday here, so I could potentially actually go to Sapporo if the series was there and went to enough games... what a quandary!
I got home and saw a tag from the post office -- apparently the box from Carl got here but I wasn't home to get it. I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to do to get it redelivered, and I probably should have been dealing with that rather than watching Hanakimi for the last 3 hours, but whatever.

About the package, call the number on it and say you got a delivery notice. It's a blue or white slip, right? Give your name and address, and then they'll usually want the name of the person who delivered it(their hanko should be stamped on the paper, just a question of how difficult the kanji are), and they'll ask when you'll be at home to pick it up. Even if it's the same day, they'll still come back out if it's not too late. Of course, this is my experience with the old post office. I don't know if they've changed things now.
