Japan Chapter 2. In which our heroine goes to Sendai and later catches up with an old friend.
I have like 5 minutes left to write this before I get locked out of the Kimi Ryokan if I dont run back so forgive incoherence
Today Li and I went up to Sendai to see the Eagles play the Hawks. I'm completely in love with Kazumi Saitoh, even though I hate the Hawks. Sigh. Li had to leave halfway through the game and go back to work, which sucked. They actually made him take the shinkansen back and everything. How lame is that? I wrote about the game a little on Marinerds.
I didnt know what to do in Sendai after the game so I called Krispy and ended up taking the shinkansen back and the train to Shibuya. We met up at Hachiko and went around -- went to the book store Book 1st or whatever so I could get the Ogasawara book, and then we went to Momo Paradise or whatever it was called and had tabehodai shabu shabu and oh my god that was AWESOME and basically I spent like two hours just hanging out and catching up with Krispy since i havent seen him in forever and he's so awesome and he's so good at japanese since he's a grad student here in Japan and all. So jealous! Anyway, we had a blast hanging out and we also went to an arcade and played DDR Supernova together -- I played some new smile.dk song, and the kosaka riyu one that James mentioned, happy whatever, and then we played Murmur Twins because I wanted to see it. And then my legs hurt so we played Mario Kart and Taiko no Tatsujin (hahaha, I made Krispy play Linda Linda and No More Cry -- yes, the closing song from Gokusen 2, wheeee)
Then he had to get his train back and so did I. Goddamn its late. Im already not jetlagged. And I am too lazy to correct punctuation and stuff.
oh i forgot to mention, pnm Fever is stupid and you have to play Challenge mode to play at all, i didnt know that so i was in Enjoy mode which is essentially "stupid foreigner" mode. Now I know and its great -- lots of fun songs in this version!
Tomorrow I should be heading to the Lions-Fighters game and I have no other plans except to wander around, so it should be a great day! I'm so happy to be in Japan again.
I think I'll run back to the ryokan now.
