Go stillers!

Saturday, I mostly ignored the wind. I slept until 4pm, and then since games weren't happening, decided to go downtown and see the movie Transamerica. I really haven't seen many movies in the theater lately so that was sort of cool. The movie itself was... interesting. I mostly saw it because the premise seemed sort of bizarre to me, but it actually worked just fine, though there were a few moments of "wtf?" and several times when I really wanted to strangle the main characters. It worked out in a good place.

Today/Sunday, I went to sleep at 2am despite waking at 4pm, though I didn't get up until 1pm. I went over to Oren's place to watch the Super Bowl, which was really pretty funny overall. I can't believe Joe Namath and Mick Jagger are both 62 years old. The latter certainly looks better than the former. I'm really happy for all my friends in Pittsburgh who live and die by the Stillers, though I'm not looking to hearing all the people at work tomorrow talk about the game.

We finished watching Gokusen after that. What a great ending! Though I'm sad there aren't more episodes.... yeah, there's a second season, but it'll be different students. I thought it was great that when Shinohara, Tetsu, and Kashiwagi all say they're rivals and going after Yankumi and then Sawada pipes up like "Ha, make that four of us". <3 Sawada. He's the best character.

Anyway, today/tomorrow is Monday, and it's my brother's birthday (also Babe Ruth's and Ronald Reagan's). Hopefully I'll get home early enough to call him.

Gokusen was pretty amusing, I thought. Glad you liked it. :)

Your brother is Babe Ruth?

I saw the dorama. I've not gotten around to reading the manga yet.

Every single person in Seattle I have talked to feels the Seahawks got robbed. Sorry, but while they did get screwed on a couple calls (and did eat every bad call, I'll admit, but some of the bad calls didn't matter), they did just as much to lose as the Steelers did to win. The refs didn't cause Willie Parker to run for a 75 yard touchdown, nor did they force Matt Hasselbeck to throw that dumb interception, or make Jerramy Stevens drop three passes.
