It's spring somewhere, y'know?
I got to work at 10am this morning. I rule.
This evening's been a low-key laundry night, mostly. I did have dinner at Blue C on a whim on my way home. Their "seasonal" sushi tonight was a california roll with salmon and avocado around the outside, which was really pretty good compared to, well, every other "seasonal" thing they've had (like the avocado-papaya-mushroom thing I had last time, uggggh). The one thing is, I went to the Fremont one, and they too are doing the "Sushi for Dummies" paradigm now with the labels under the plates. I told the waitress that I think it sucks because you have to wait for things to come around again, but she's like "Well, our belt is smaller than the University Village one..." well, I timed it, and it still takes 4 minutes to get all the way around. Grr.
The rest of the evening has been at home. I was Skyping with Jacquilynne and Leclerc a bit for the heck of it because they were gossipping on PP. The curious thing is that I've noticed almost all guys with British accents in their 20's sound about the same age to me, so Leclerc totally reminded me that I needed to talk to Weaver.
(so now I'm ICQ'ing with Weaver, though I need to sleep soon)
I've been doing laundry and playing Pop'n'Music, mostly. I think the microcontroller needs to be swapped in my left white key, though, because I keep getting several BADs that aren't. It's terrible when I get something like 1 Good and 6 Bads on Murmur Twins, y'know? (on the other hand -- I'm feeling really great about my Pop'n skill lately. I still can't pass the super-impressive stuff above 30, but I amaze myself sometimes with my combos and scores -- it's always fun to look up after nearly full-comboing something in the mid-20's and be like "*I* did that?")
In addition to laundrying, I've been watching the Hiroshima Carp's spring training video feed, which has been pretty funny. At first it was just pitchers taking throwing/fielding practice, then it turned into hitters, then it's just been all sorts of stuff, and guys keep coming up to the camera to talk, which is pretty funny. I'm sure glad the Japanese are crazy and start spring training a month earlier than we do!
unfortunately, I'm not sleeping, so I should go do that, I think.
