the weekend, not particularly exciting
Wow, can you believe I moved into my apartment exactly a year ago today?
I spent most of today cleaning the place because my brother and his wife are going to be here tomorrow for a day or two. Whee. Actually, that is what I have been doing for most of the weekend. I cleaned the bathtub and toilet and bathroom, and cleaned off the counter in my kitchen area, and picked up some clutter, and did laundry, and what have you. I still need to vacuum, I guess. The place doesn't look great, of course, but it looks better than it did before.
The time I have not been cleaning has been spent going out to dinner with friends. Last night I went to Taste of India with Brian (not G, not R, but M) and babbled more about Puzzle Hunt for a few hours. Good stuff, and I really hadn't been to ToI in WAY TOO LONG. Mmmm. Tonight I went to dinner at Blue C Sushi with![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
tangerinpenguin and we babbled about Puzzle Pirates.
Oh, and I have also been spending some time playing Puzzle Pirates while not cleaning and whatnot, of course. Curule helped me get my full Ultimate in Spades, so now I have a full compliment of Ultimates again. So I went and took the "I am showing off" snapshot portrait. It's showing off because I have the globe of memming prowess, the monkey from OCL Sea Battle, and the snapshot of all Ultimates. Whee.
Weaver and I also got another portrait together with our scary matching aqua and pink outfits that we've been wearing when playing spades or just to blind people on the docks. We were going to just be totally drunk in both of them, but since I don't have Broad drinking I couldn't hold a tankard, and the rumjug looked dumb, so my drink is an alchemistry potion. We came up with a TON of silly captions for this one:
Weaver's official one is: "Never drink with a girl who owns a tailor."
Mine is from the Jolly Butcher, since he said it looked like a bad wedding in Vegas: "Come have a drink / it will make us think / that it is our wedding day".
I'm gonna convince Cherny to get a portrait with me if it kills me :)
I do wish they'd put new 2-pirate backgrounds up though. I've got a ton of people I want to pose with, dammit, but the valentine's one is just dumb.
