all work and no play makes janthina a dull girl

I need to figure out how I am getting to the airport on Saturday morning. My flight's really early, like 7am, so there's no way I'm making a friend drive me. I've looked around shuttle services a little -- does anyone have any recommendations? otherwise I will probably just book with Shuttle Express or something. I assume they'll be running on Christmas...

I overslept this morning, and then spent a bunch of time driving around due to my own traffic avoidance strategies backfiring on me. The Pop'n'Music 3 / Stage soundtrack makes pretty good car music though. I got lunch from Whole Foods. Lots of green salad and fruit salad and stuff, because I figure if I'm sick, the best thing I can do is to overload my system with healthy food or something.

Then I spent the entire day at work, partially working, partially zoning out and coughing a lot. I mean, I literally went home around midnight. I've been puttering around on PP since, mostly talking to C. I'll go to sleep shortly and then hopefully get to work by noon tomorrow to finish up the stuff I need to do for my doc review, assuming it doesn't get pushed back.

In PP, I don't know if Hades is seriously planning to blockade Turtle anytime soon, but I was kind of proud of my silly parody of the CMU/Hell joke:

Top ten differences between Turtle Island and Hell

10. You can't take Navy ships across the Styx
9. Skeletons only show up on Turtle occasionally
8. Robertdonald's not your next door neighbor in Hell
7. Turtle Island has already frozen over
6. Red outfits are cheaper on Turtle
5. Hell is forever, Turtle is in Diamond
4. Everybody burns in Hell, but nobody Byrnes on Turtle
3. You can't whisk to Hell
2. There are no free rum days in Hell
1. You wouldn't tell someone to "Go to Turtle"

The last time I had to get to the airport for a ridiculously early flight, Shuttle Express was how I got there as well. Certainly no complaints with the service - they picked me up on time, I only had to share the ride with one other person, and the guy driving was courteous. Still though, it's a bit on the expensive side. But since you're going to be gone for so long (and I assume you'll have no problem getting a ride back home when you return), it'd still be cheaper than parking off-site.

Or I'd be willing to drive you out there. I still have to do my good deed for the decade. :)

Hmm, if I were a millionaire with time to kill, I would fly to Seattle, give you a ride to the airport, fly with you to Austin, and then give you a ride from the airport. That would be awesome. Alas, another amusing plan foiled by the lack of oodles of disposable income.

I can give you a ride.

why not just fly her in your private jet?

Huh, good point. I'm not very good at this counterfactual millionaire stuff, apparently.

I have time, I have money. I'm just inconvieniently located on the other side of the planet.
