weird

Just for kicks, this is my "new year's resolution" paragraph from my journal entry December 30th, 2000:

"So the year ends. What will happen in the next one? I'm making a resolution to come to work on time, and to visit Megan in Seattle (and now Jeliza and Sean, too). I want to go to Japan in the summer. I'd love to go back to California. I want to speak at more conferences; I want to learn more things. I want to knit more things for people; I want to get more exercise, maybe do ice skating or something in the new year. I want to be the best companion I can be to my friends, who I'm (pardon the expression) blessed to have. I want to help Eli as he goes into his last year of grad-student-dom. I want to continue to help launch the SFFS. I want to get an RPG group with Mike somehow back on its feet; either Ralph's or Tal's. I'm going to drag Carl in, too. I'm going to kick royal ass at Medieval Madness this year, too. I want to see my friends that are seniors before they leave... "

I think I managed to do all of that except for going to Seattle. (Sorry! I will put it on my list of resolutions for 2002...)

I think that's really cool, though. I should write a resolution list for next year and see whether it comes true.

And no, that's from my other journal, not LJ, incase you are wondering why you can't find that entry.
