weird nappy day
Today was bizarre.
So I sent that entry at 6am and then conked out. I'd taken my stomach pills so I figured, no chili problems, right?
Wrong. 8:30am I woke up with awful heartburn.
So I did the only sane thing I could think of while squirming in discomfort, which was to log into PP and enter a SF tourney (got to the semifinals, it was for Opal maps, whee), and then go into the Orca blockade for a round with Rifkind (with my great suggestions that Widows and Orphans rename themselves to Widows and Orcans after they take the island), and then enter a PvP event with Shuranthae... finally around noon-1pm my stomach decided to stop hurting.
So I took a nap around 2.

tangerinpenguin called me and woke me up around 4 to say he was walking around Fremont and since I'd said I was up for a movie or something, we should do something! And then I fell back asleep until like 6:30, at which point I got up and got out of here.
We went to Blue C for dinner. They had some music show on, with the lyrics on the screen and all, it was bizarre to be listening to rap music but try to hear an Every Little Thing song in my head at the same time. The waitress/hostess was overly friendly, I think she was the same one from Tuesday when I was there with Mark, because she was like "I forgot your name," and later on like "Hi Deanna, I'm Catherine! I hope you're doing well." and stuff. Sort of weird, but hey. I go there too much.
Chris and I walked around Fremont a bit after, and then I drove him home, because I realized I didn't know any movies that are currently out that I want to see that he hadn't seen, or vice versa. And rather than going home at that point I spontaneously decided to go to Illusionz because Max and some others had posted to the BBS saying they'd be there. Well, they weren't. So I ended up playing Pop'n'Music 5 for about an hour and a half. (I passed J-Rap 2 Hyper! And Pops Remix again, and something else I hadn't before that was like a level 24-ish) Tanya and Charlie showed up about halfway through my stay there, but that was it, so I ducked out at 11pm and came home.
Logged into PP of course. Weaver was on! And he sailed for me to get his top ten spot back while I worked on memming more of Opal. (I'm missing like one dot and the Norse-Nu route now. I rock.) We found skellies on Waterberry, and eventually Chern and Crapton and I ended up fighting them, which led to a whole discussion on "fair distribution of skellie prizes", which to me is "you are taking a gamble when you go fight 'em, deal with it". Chern got a scimitar out of the skellies, and he gave it to me since mine's crumbling very soon, so wheee! In the meantime I've been gossiping with Lilymorgan for the last few hours, which is also probably why memming was shooting my brains to mush towards the end there.
The other cool thing is that I have been listening to CDs all night for once, which I usually forget to do with PP. I put in, shuffled together, these two sets: [ The Beautiful South - 0898, Superchunk - incidental music 1991-1995, Belly - King ] and now currently almost done through [ Pixies - Bossanova, Sugar - Copper Blue, Young Fresh Fellows - Electric Bird Digest ]. I had forgotten how AWESOME the YFF are to be honest, it's been ages.
The Mariners traded Mike Myers. The bullpen is now basically Hasegawa and a bunch of rookies. Sigh.
