Monday - cruisin' the city

shandrew and told him to come hang out with me, which he seemed all too happy to do.
So he picked me up and first we went to the Mission area, where we had lunch at a crepe place. It was really slow but really good. After that we walked around a bit, then went over to the Golden Gate Park and went through their Japanese Tea Garden, which was, well, yet another Japanese garden. It was pretty nice except for a distinct lack of huge fish swimming around in the ponds.
We walked around a lake near there, which had mostly pigeons and a few ducks. There was a cluster of ducklings though and they were the cutest fuzziest thing ever and I took a couple pictures.
After the park, we went to the Sony Metreon complex because I wanted to see Spiderman 2 and I wanted to see the original DDR machine that was brought to America there. Well, er, 1 out of 2 ain't bad. In theory. Spiderman was sold out to heck and back so we opted to see Shrek 2 instead, since neither of us had seen it, and then we went over to an arcade in the Metreon, which had 3 DDR machines; an Extreme, a USA, and then this 1st mix which had a weird marquee and weird stuff around the outsides, and it just looked really old and beat-up. I'm assuming that's the one... maybe some CA DDR people can correct me here. So Andrew got a points card and we played a set on the DDR 1st mix machine. Wooo, so fun. Then we played some bowling game which essentially has a bowling ball as a trackball. It was really difficult and hurt my arms.
Shrek 2 was really good. I liked it a lot. It was very funny. The Ghostbusters parody was absolutely priceless in every way possible.
After that we grabbed food at a place in the basement of the Metreon, where I had funky but good tortellini. And we stopped in the Playstation store where I got a playstation t-shirt. Oi, I'm a geek. Whee!
It was a lot of fun hanging out today. I got home and just have been vegging out on PP and working on the laptop some. I got the drivers working for my digital camera at least, so now I can upload pictures, although right now I'm tired so I'm going to sleep. No idea what I'm doing tomorrow, and I still need to figure out how to get to SVGL Wednesday...
