Sunday and Monday

I guess the past two days have been just more of dragging Jason/Fronsac around Seattle and making him hang out with my friends. Har.

Sunday:
Went to Laura's house out in Issaquah for a few hours. I-Gene was in town for the weekend so I wanted to see him. Ryo and Allan were out there too. There was much Pop'n'Music (apparently, carrying a PNM ASC through the airport is an interesting experience), and some Karaoke Revolution, and Laura's mom making us stay for dinner because she had gone and BBQ'ed enough food to feed an army. (To be fair, I think Laura's mom is cool, so it's all good.)

We were supposed to go to Lahut's place around 6 to meet up with Django and Lahut and Drew, except Drew was still in Tacoma then. So it worked out okay that we got there more like 6:30-6:45. I had brought a few board games along, so the four of us played a game of Mamma Mia (the pizza-building card game). Django did something I have NEVER seen: he got all 8 of his recipes filled, doing 5 of them on the first turn of the game. Crazy. Then we played two hands of 500, and Drew showed up.

(For the record, a new way of amusing myself is to go to someone's house that has sounds turned on on their AIM client, and use my phone to IM them, so it keeps making the clicky "you have a message" noise. Hee.)

The five of us went to Red Robin, where I just had onion rings and a milkshake and it was still too much food for me. Our waiter's name was Houston and he said "How are you guys doing?" and I'd just checked the Mariners scores and noticed they've lost another 6 games and so I'm like "Why are the Mariners losing? I don't get it. That's how I'm doing." Yeah, anyway. So we had dinner again and then came back to Lahut's place and played a game of Citadels. I don't actually remember who won, although I think all of us except Django got 8 buildings on the last turn of the game (but he had two of the 6/8's). Ah well, it's all for fun anyway.

I couldn't figure out how to get to Nicole's place so we exchanged Django at Illusionz instead, since I know how to get there. Whee. And then came home.

Monday:
Today I woke up late, and I played PP for a bit because Kuibbles was out pillaging and I hadn't seen him in a few days. Complicated has also returned to the PP world, and has promoted most of us "regulars" in Black Death to Senior Officer. So I guess I'm back up to my old rank. I spent a buncha time SF'ing with Gigza, which was also pretty fun. It was really hot out today and in the apartment and I felt really lethargic. (By really hot I mean it was in the upper 70's, I guess.)

Then I realized it was 5:30 and um, I hadn't done any apartment work and Quiz night was at 7:30 and all so ugh. Got ready to go, got Jason to get ready to go, and we headed to the Irish Emigrant. Since the weather was so nice out in Seattle today, the pub was actually fairly empty. I don't mind that because it means less smoke, but oh well. We got there in time for happy hour cheap food, too, which was good. It was just us, and Megan and Josh and Eli.

Quiz: First round, biology, ew. Second round, geography, DOUBLE ew. Third round, Norse Mythology (which Jason knew a lot about so that was good). Bingo round, we actually got a bingo, it was cool! Except two other teams got a bingo too, and we screwed it up in the playoffs for it. Even worse, we were really close to winning, but the team we were closest to did really well in the last round, so even though we did well, it didn't matter. Oh well, it was still a relatively good quiz night for us.

I gave Megan and Josh a ride home and I asked if we could come in for a bit because I wanted Jason to see Josh's game collection. It's gotten more impressive too, since he organized it all. Whee! Then came back here, stopped by Safeway for some snacks, and I've been working on the apartment for a few hours. Unpacked 5 more boxes, but it still looks all crowded in here. Oh well.
