I AAA'ed Friday.
Wow, so today was a bit more memorable.
It was our last lunch in PacMed! How sad.
darknote was in town because he had to drive a friend of his up to the Seattle airport, and he was leaving by the evening, so I decided to be bad and ditch work for a few hours to hang out with him. We went to Illusionz :) I hadn't been there in like, a month or two, I think, and Mendel had never been there. And
kyleward showed up too! Whee exciting.
We got timecards, and because of timecards I was really bad at actually hanging out for two hours... I played a ton of games. The state of the machines at Illusionz is atrocious in many cases. Keyboardmania has two keys that are horrendously iffy (I think it was the high D and E), PNM3 has two really sticky keys (the yellow and green on the right side)... Drummania is just falling apart and unresponsive. Bleh. Oh, and there's a heating duct like right over the rock-side DDR Extreme, which was really uncomfortable a few times when it randomly turned on while I was playing.
On the other hand, I got a new heavy AA out of nowhere (Secret Rendezvous) *and* my second ever arcade AAA, in Happy Wedding Light. Go me. Yeah.
So after my timecard ran out, I found Kyle and Mendel playing In The Groove, and got played a game or two on ITG so I could see the new features. Battle mode is kinda cool. Dizzy mod is definitely a bit much for my head to take. I played both of
diskozombie's songs that are in the game, they were fun. Da Roots has actually gotten worse for me, but eh, whatever, maybe I just suck.
Arr, Mendel gave me a ride back to work after that and I did some work. I moved all of my remaining stuff down to US1. I wanted to move it to my new workspace, but there's no desk or chair or anything there yet, which was a little weird. I might have to come in during the weekend and label stuff for the move. Not sure, I really don't have that much stuff.
I stayed late, getting home around 9pm. Eli and I went to try to get sushi train but it was closed, so we went to a random Chinese place along that same stretch at 50th and the Ave. It was good but pretty spicy. We stopped by Half Price Books, which is always a bad idea for me, and I got a few things.
Came home, played Puzzle Pirates. I wanted to pillage, and nobody was doing much, so I said "I'm gonna go drive a WAR BRIG! ARR!" I'd never driven a war brig pillage before, so I went asking everyone I could think of to come along, and eventually got around 14 people on board, including
nykkel and
bastetsguardian and
buoren and all. That was crazy fun! We sailed from Alpha to Turtle, and we got into four battles, and we WON THEM ALL! With me on battle nav, even... I was saying how I apparently got an Incredible in Luck, because occasionally I'd just sit there and let the brigand come towards me as I pumped their ship with cannon fire. Good stuff. And right after that I hung out on the docks for a bit and got
damienroc to take out a ship and invite me along to pillage with ARR, which was really fun too (and I got myself a "come sail with us any time!" from the other crew members on board). Whee! After that people were being silly and starting 1 poe tournaments in the alpha inn, so I spent time writing this entry and entering tournaments. It was pretty silly overall, but.
This weekend should be pretty fun. I need to sleep now, though.
