thursday - sushi, and network! yar!
Just a quick update from work because I forgot to last night, and I'm waiting for some stuff to compile.
Yesterday was a pretty good day relatively... our group's been more cohesive hanging out for lunch this week, which is fun. I went to Kinokuniya for a 20-min break in the afternoon. They supposedly had my 3rd Avex 150/15 CD, but instead just had another copy of the 2nd. So, blah. I bought two baseball magazines since I'm trying to get better at the vocabulary. If nothing else, I can recognize Sennichi Hoshino and Sadaharu Oh's names in kanji now. Lots of Japan series stuff.

agh) picked me up after work and we went to Blue C Sushi in Fremont so I could get another stab at evaluating it. Our water glasses tasted like vinegar at first, but aside from that it was good. They had a lot more eel out on the conveyor belts this time. We sat on the other side so we could see the barcode scanner scanning all the plates as they went by. Cool beans.
I got home and saw I had a package fromallwein. THANK YOU CHRIS! He found me a copy of Rary the Traitor at a yard sale! Now I can read it for real :)
My network stayed up astonishingly well in the evening; I'd originally figured on just logging in to PP to check up on things, but instead ended up sailing and pillaging for a while with Jammer, and I got some crazy good luck, which means Jan's sitting on like 30k poe right now. Har! Yet another dan&eric person is in our crew now (Jay Laefer), go figure. He was pretty good to have on board. Farren also jobbed with us for a while, and I gotryani on board for a few leagues too, which was cool since we haven't chatted in ages! I hung out at the docks for a bit with people, which is really uncharacteristic for me, and then Parka came along for a late-night pillage with Lilymorgan and me, which was pretty fun. No disconnects. It rocked. After some sailing and carping on a navy ship, my sails are back up to Renowned and my carping is up to Renowned too. I'll have 'em all at GM/Leg yet!
