What, you guys got a day off?

I drove Eli to work and then myself to work. Wow, that works a lot better than the other way around.

Today we were supposed to go to Taco Bell. We didn't. Instead Tina-the-intern and I got lunch. I don't talk to her much, so it was new and different.

I had to meet with Dale, and took advantage of the shuttle schedule mis-lineup to wander Uwajimaya. I looked for shiguma for about 5-10 mins walking through all the aisles, but no luck. Then I went through the Hello Kitty stuff. Oh wow, they have a scottish plaid Hello Kitty with a scottie dog and everything. It's horrendously cute; I'll undoubtedly buy one when I go back to Kinokuniya with Carl's manga list.

Eli and I went to Eastlake tonight again, and then to Ivar's because I wanted fishies, dammit. We each got a bowl of chowder, and then split their "northwest platter" or whatever it's called wherein they give you Fish'n'Fishythings'n'Whatnot'n'Chips. Literally, it's like a plate of fries, plus breaded fried random seafood (identified: scallops, halibut, salmon, clam, shrimps, and... onion rings). Was pretty good, but I'm glad we split it. I have this desire to go to the Cheesecake Factory now for some reason, but that'll have to wait until after the Pittsburgh trip.

I did laundry and played puzzle pirates for several hours. Spent the entire evening pretty much going around with the Bilge Rats because Carl's in officer training. I showed off my damned fine gunnery skills by keeping the cannons fully manned during every battle until the crew ran out of cannonballs... and got myself up to Solid experience, Grand-Master ranking. I am SO totally going for Leg/Ult.. as I remarked to Farren, "I think I'll try to hit the top ten list in Gunnery... It's the only one I think I have a shot at."

Plans for Pittsburgh so far:
ToI lunch on Friday, probly eat in lounge.
Wander campus Friday afternoon.
No friday dinner plans yet, so if someone wants to snag me, lemmeknow.
CTF Friday night @7pm.
No Saturday plans yet either. If nothing else, maybe Roman and Kevin and all would like to hang out and play Cosmic or Iron Dragon? :)
Monica's birthday thingy Sat. night.
Del's either Sat night or Sun afternoon. (If you want to come, let me know.)
Maybe swing dancing Sat night, if Trey or Dave get back to me.
I'd like to play DDR for a little bit at some point in there, but that's largely up to rkane and Justin, I think.
So much food I want to get... Mad Mex, CBW, Tessaro's, Del's, ToI... and of course O fries. Hmm, O fries before CTF. Yar!
Honestly, I'd be happy just spending the whole weekend with Carl. But I know other people want to see me too.

Evening - free, probably would love to eat a real meal. Hmm, of those dinner choices you listed later, I haven't been to Tessaro's in ages so that would be great. Dunno if Marc will come with, I'll suggest he respond to this so I know myself.
Saturday I have work - either I'll be done quick or it'll take FOR FRICKIN' EVER. Gah. So, maybe I'll call you?
Del's would also be great - oooh. I can make time if it's Sat night, even if work is breaking. Sunday I have somewhere to be at 6pm so it would have to be over by then.

I'm actually going to Philly this trip as well. I grew up there; I just went to school in Pittsburgh and stayed a few years after graduation. There's a ton to do in Philly. Talk to me sometime.... I can even hook you up with the DDR locals and all, assuming any of the same gang is around :)
