a dinner of rochbergian proportions
Yan got back from Europe today! He brought us chocolate and stories! Lunch was fun, the rest of the day was even mildly fun. After work Eli picked me up and we went to Ototo Sushi, where we met up with Dave Rochberg, who is in town for a day or two! Dave was a big part of a part of my life that I have very fond memories of... the summer of 2000 or so where I would go to dinner or movies or wherever with Dave, Kevin W, and Stewart a lot... we were a good gang :) So it was good to see him. jch@CS also came by to join us for dinner. It was good, we got a lot of sushi and it was yummy. Dave got the omakase and it looked like a very interesting platter of sushi and sashimi and whatnot. We declined to get dessert because we were all full, and we came back here to show off our house to Dave. I rode in his rental car which has this funky navigator GPS/map unit... which won't shut the fuck up! We hung out here and talked for a while, then went to Deb's to talk more and to play with the cat and stuff. Deb was pretty tired though so Eli and I came home, and I played Puzzle Pirates because I'm dumb. Was a good game though, lots of pillaging. Yarrrr! Time for sleepy.
