Yo ho ho and a can of whoopass
Tonight we had D&D at Cory's house for the first time in a month. We finally found the witch spider... we came, we saw, we KICKED ITS ASS! Ok, more like, we came, we saw, we fell into a bunch of pits, we set off acid traps by having Mike keep burning half his face off, we killed a whole bunch of little spiders, and then we spent 20 minutes figuring out how to climb brambles to get up to the spiderweb walkways, at which point my character pretty much did two of the most important things all session: 1) cast Delay Poison on me and Justin and 2) climbed the brambles and trees using my 1337 druid skillz, so I could tie a rope to the walkway and everyone else could get up there. Somehow I rolled a 15, 18, 19, and 14 for my climb rolls - anything less and I woulda fallen off. Then the witch spider kept biting me and my 1337 poison-delaying skills took over... stupid spider had Mage Armor and as a result none of us could hit her at all, and she kept casting spells on us and generally making us kinda miserable, which really sucked, until Justin and I accidentally cornered her in the tree room and beat the crap out of her. Go us!
Of course, since this was a boss battle, D&D lasted until 11:30... and I just had to play Puzzle Pirates when I got home. A certain pirate whose character is female but whose person is male is in our crew now and I am going to have one heck of a time remembering to refer to their character as "she". Hahaha. I am deciding that I'm vaguely glad I didn't jump crew to Bilge Rats, only 'cause Farren's going away for a week :(, and Lily just went and ordered a matching "Yo-ho Yoyos Sailor Suit"... it's cool looking when you get us all together. I'm navy blue, Nerak is green/aqua, and Alie is red, so Lily will be purple. It's so exciting. Really it is. Actually, exciting would be when we got in a battle and my entire crew got wiped out and it was me versus 5 brigands... I was defeated, yeah, but I took out 3 of them before I went :) I said something obnoxious like "Well, gosh, it was down to me versus 5 of them -- finally a fair fight, eh?"
This morning, Eli drove me to the Seattle Center on his way to work and I commuted via the monorail. That was pretty exciting! Whee!
