work, IZ, sushi, etc
Work was okay today. I decided to get lunch up in Pacmed instead of going down to the ID, mostly because my 1-1 meeting got cancelled. Of course, then my linux box crashed and I had to go down to reboot the thing anyway :( I tried to catch Mike the ex-boss but still haven't! Sigh. So I went back up to pacmed and did work and hung out. Took a bunch of pictures from the 8th floor, I'll have to dump them soon. I haven't had any time to work on pictures lately at all. Bleh.

elphie) picked me up from work and we went to Illusionz because she wanted to see some of the Seattle Bemani scene before she moves here next month. (Although for the record, the people I really need to introduce her to are jeliza, drakemonger, rubylou, etc.) IZ was of course totally dead... there were some other people playing Bemani games there but I didn't recognize any of them. I *think* Cracker was there, actually, since his card somehow got up on the DDR machine, but I never actually *saw* him! And I did see Ryan and Becky for like, 2 minutes when we first got there, but by the time I was done showing Pop'n'Music to Michelle, they were gone. Doh! So we played a bunch of Bemani games... we played some DDR together, some separate, some drummania, I did some KBM too, and of course PNM. Hopefully I have another PNM addict - when Michelle moves here we'll have to get her up to speed on 9-line :)
KBM was on Fuwa Fuwa mode - like it was skipping, so the lines would freeze and then move fast to catch up, but the sound wouldn't stop. It was weird. I still got "Good play" on Massara Long though. OH! I got my 6th Heavy SDG on DDR, Kind Lady (8). And I got 4 greats on Sung Suk Trick on the 4th+ machine. RAWR! Stupid gimp left foot, I couldn't play anything hard at DDR :(
We left around 8:45 out of hunger. I was trying to think of somewhere cool to show Michelle for dinner so we went to Sushi Express (the kaiten sushi train place down at 50th and the Ave). It was a little late so the train was mostly empty but I think we had decent food anyway. I only got 7 plates, I could have easily eaten more, but they were closing up at that point :) Then she dropped me off at home, and I've been goofing off online since. I should try to sleep early... we'll see if it actually happens or if I go down and play IIDX/PPL instead.
