Yay Mariners!
Today was kinda weird at work, half the guys took off early to go camping. Lucky them :) Doug came by again with his dog Spoon, though! That was cheery, Spoon is the cutest dog on the planet, and he always runs around our office all hyper and likes being scratched behind his ears. Hm. I went to Uwajimaya and grabbed lunch and brought it back up to PM. It was good. I forget much of the rest of the afternoon. Guido and I are slowly running the jidouhanbaiki out of Gobstoppers.
After work I went to the Mariners game! It was actually a really interesting game. Jamie Moyer was pitching on our side, and he started off the first inning by letting up 2 runs, and a 3rd in the 3rd inning. But he didn't let anyone else score for the rest of the game. His pitching was wacky - like I swear he didn't throw a single ball faster than say 80 mph, most of them were around 70, it was a lot of random crazy stuff like knuckleballs and curveballs and whatnot. So aside from that, other highlights... Ichiro stole two bases in a row at one point, running from first to second, then getting to third as they missed second trying to throw him out. Haha! And Guillen walked a little later and then I swear, I was looking at the left field fence thinking "Wouldn't it be great if Boone hit a home run?" And the very next pitch he hit a home run over the left field fence :O This freaked me out mostly because lately I wonder if I'm seeing shadows again - yesterday at IZ as George hit random for his Final Stage he was like "Watch me get LOM" and I replied "Nah, you'll get Brilliant 2U" and a second later we saw the screen come up and it was Brilliant 2U. Oh well, so anyway, that was an exciting inning. They did music trivia inbetween two of the innings and the song playing was Boogie Wonderland by Earth Wind & Fire (better known to the Bemani folks as Wonderland UKS). I was like "It's a DDR song!!" And I of course also knew that the Pirates won the world series in 1979, but that's beside the point.
Oh yeah, so it was 3-3 for a lot of the game, and finally in the 8th inning Cameron hit a home run and made it 4-3. Moyer went out, Hasegawa closed flawlessly, and boom! Chalk up another win for Moyer, another save for Hasegawa, and we got to see all of the upcoming Seattle all-stars in the game! Although Edgar had an awful night and struck out three times. But, tomorrow Meche is pitching. Yay :) Oh, and they actually put Willie Bloomquist in! He got a single, and he did well fielding, BUT at one point he walked and then the pitcher spent like 11 pitches (no joke) trying to tag him off first. It was ridiculous. He was bouncing though, you could tell he was so excited to actually be playing... I was happy for him.
We bussed home after the game, and I've been wasting time doing laundry, playing Pokemon Puzzle League, chatting with people, and working on resizing pictures a little. I feel kinda blah. Sometimes I hate being such a big nerd. But, I am up to level 12 on S-Hard on PPL. Go me.
I don't think I'm going to Pittsburgh for the PGSS thing. I got the details and it's like "big symposium, little picnic dinner". Also, the Meltons are coming out here that weekend/week and how could I miss that? :)
Oh, and I got this quiz from
dj_celica:

Yay for Tran! You may not be a super-sexy anime-
girl, but you still rock the house, you CG
humanoid. Whenever anything major is
happening, you're always there... From
fireworks (Starmine video), to an alien
invasion (G2 and Alien World), all the way to
some bald guy spazzing out (Stoic), everyone
recognizes your face. You, like Celica, are a
very popular person. As for your artist? Ryu
seems to fit your speedy pace. Starmine,
anyone?
