Work, sushi, gaming... three great tastes that go great together.

Work continues to be pretty fun, I spent most of today in Pacmed. Steve The Intern and I looked out the window at the beautiful sunny day, noted Mt. Rainier faintly in the distance, and then I squealed, "Oh my god! Look, the people waiting for the shuttle are RIGHT BELOW US! WE COULD SO TOTALLY DROP WATER BALLOONS ON THEM!" We had a good laugh over that until Guido pointed out that it'd be such a horrendous safety violation we'd probably get everyone fired. Oh well.

Had a successful meeting in US1 that may cut down my US1 time by a LOT, I'll know for sure soon. I am feeling frustrated by the fact that I spent 40 minutes of my time today going between buildings. The laptop helps me get work done on the shuttle a little, but still, ugh. It's funny how I was sad about moving to PM and now I'm really not anymore, although I don't get to see people like [profile] binde and [profile] greywulf anymore. I ran into Mike Sha today again, and I also caught [profile] rkane coming out of a lecture and was like "HEY! COME SEE MY COUCH!" So he came in and saw my couch. :)

After work, Eli and I went to check out Sushi Express, a new kaiten sushi place down at 50th and the Ave. It was pretty good but not great, I'm guessing it's partially because it's just recently opened though. They had a sushi train instead of a conveyor belt and it was mostly running empty the entire time, there was only one sushi chef and like 10-15 people there, and like 3-4 plates on the train at any given time. The price was a little higher than the place [profile] diskozombie took us to in Portland, too. And some of the fish was pretty near frozen. But... some of the sushi was awesome and the rolls were really interesting. Definitely worth going back to sometime. 'Cause I love kaitensushi and all.

After that, we went to Megan and Josh's house, where I watched bits of the Phillies-Mariners game (YEAH MECHE! YEAH 8-GAME WINNING STREAK!), lamented over how much Veterans stadium has changed and how I'll probly never get back there, talked about old Phillies trivia, and then we played some board game involving running over buildings with walls and roads and water, and voting over whether to destroy toilets. ("Over and under"?) It was vaguely amusing and I lost pretty badly. Then we hung out with Megan and her homework, and Josh and I played Super Monkey Ball, which I hadn't played in quite a while. Monkey Bowling Special courses are fucking insane. I beat Josh on Monkey Target without items and he annhilated me with items.

Tomorrow Mark and I are planning to go to Illusionz with some other CMU people that I don't really know! I'm pretty psyched for that. Assuming we can get the Pacmed shuttle and 214 bus schedules to play nicely with each other.
