So anyway, after work I went to quiz night, except that the last 28 bus never fucking showed up so I hitched a 358 instead and ended up walking a mile and a half through Fremont. I got there on time and we did have six people after all since HP and his brother joined me and Eli and Josh and Megan. I didn't do so hot on the trivia personally, although I did have some exceptional guesses, and I proved that I know lots about random 70's and 80's music. Abba, yo.

It depends on the child. My general advice is that, while you always get a second chance to do things, you don't always get a third chance, and your actions now have a lot larger effect on your future than you'd think.

"dr4b" was my userid on the computer systems at carnegie mellon (wow, I first got it at PGSS, that's now one month short of ten years). I had the option to change it after my freshman year but was too lazy. Since zephyr (the chat system at CMU) depended on sending to people by their userids, people would often refer to each other by those same userids. So people started calling me dr4b (pronounced dee arr four bee) and it's just stuck because it's a unique identifier for me. Hi.
2. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your Live Journal represent who you actually are?
I think 10. I really do write online exactly how I speak in person.
3. How much about your life do you post to LJ?
95% or so :) I write about EVERYTHING, EVERYDAY (a call on 19 November!) even if occasionally I leave details out, or make private/restricted posts.
4. Is there anything you refuse to post about?
Yes, but I'm not telling you what. If you know me, you can probably guess.
5. On a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?
Maybe a 7 or so to people who I actually know and see often, because I pretty much talk about everyone else all the time too, so those slackers who don't write often enough can keep track of their lives here as well. Probably a 3 or so to people that don't know me personally. I honestly have no idea :)
6. From who/how did you find out about LJ?
I'd kept an online journal for quite a while and then one day my Sunday dinner friends all sort of jumped on here (starting with the Meltons). I got my invite fromralphmelton. I think they got on LJ from Sean and Jeliza.
7. Has anyone ever joined LJ because of you?

I go through phases... one month I had like 80% friends-only, now I'm down to like 10% friends-only. I've also been light on the actual emotional entries though, I tend to lock the emotional ones.

MOBO MOGA! Nah, I don't know. I thought it was odd that nobody else had "medieval madness" until recently - same for "thomas howard lichtenstein". And I foundkawaru because he was the only other person to have "osamu kubota" as an interest, and he turned out to be cool.

It's REALLY hard to choose from all of them. Especially because I don't know whether this means "who are your best friends on LJ?" or "whose journal on LJ is your favorite to read?" Because the former, well, my best friend isdvarin, but my favorite journals to read are probably like, eub, mh75, random_boy, proz, nickjong, jcreed, saenoda, kawaru, jiggery_pokery, and countless others (and megami gets an honourable mention for her new blog layout of course, even though that's not technically LJ).

I have 259 people on my friends list today. 8 of those are communities and 4 are "fake" journals, so out of the remaining 247, it appears I have met 225 of them... at a quick glance/count that is.

1. Because I know them in real life.
