rainy day sunday and MAN AM I TIRED
i'm still too tired and busy to update about the weekend. i suck.
today we woke up and went to illusionz. we being me, fuj, amber, and mark. the only other people who showed up were laura and allan. it was lonely and sad and overpriced. well, i mean, some other people were there, like that goodi2shoes guy and tamarik, but overall it was just dumb, and we were there for like 5 hours, and I played B3 qualifiers and i just utterly suck ass. the only good part was AA'ing BTF Momo on my first try ever. other than that i feel like i wasted the day. even passing bunches of new PNM doesn't help. KBM and DM were both busted, too. yuck.
after IZ we went to narrows, which was MUCH MUCH BETTER. mark and i played beatmania III and it was fucking awesome, i really love it a lot. got some insane scores on Linn1999 and such. and I played some beatmania doubles by accident and actually passed some songs! that was AWESOME. and I did DM and KBM and whatnot and really enjoyed myself, it was nice and empty and smoke-free (i told a guy to stop smoking! haha! now i can point to the big NO SMOKING signs!)
now we are home. i am SO exhausted. i think i twisted my ankle playing V Oni. :( i hope i can walk tomorrow.
narrows yesterday was funky. we got there later than anticipated but a TON of people were there and boy was amber surprised when we were all there for a party AND fuj was there and all. Bill and Anita and Natalia decorated the place with happy birthday stuff and balloons, and some machines were on freeplay. I played Beatmania III whenever Met or Karl weren't playing. and some DDR. and some para. and some hanging out. I remember feeling disconnected but I forget why. A lot of people were there and it was really happy and I think Amber was genuinely surprised... so all of our work wasn't for nothing! yay.
hmm as for the party here yesterday, on a mental count we had 25ish people (me, fuj, amber, mark, crackoon, keevon, farren, edgars, nykkel, tanya, charlie, bobby, slant, kimbot, allan, DJ, steve, michele, foy, foy's friend jeff, casey, ray, jerrad, kiefer, laura... sthat it?). Casey showed up early and he brought his gamecube and monkeyball 2. He also brought this big robot game RAD or something, which people enjoyed a lot. There was a ton of IIDX upstairs, and Pop'n'Music downstairs, and some Tetris Attack upstairs for a while too. I took a bunch of pictures. There was a lot of snacks and a lot of goofy random stuff and... I don't know, I'm not sure what to take down. I literally spent most of the party either playing Monkey Target or playing IIDX Session-style with Keevon and James. At one point Kiefer wanted to IIDX Session too and we're like "no way, get your own team, we're already a force of nature" :) so he got jerrad and someone else and they also did session-mode. but we outlasted everyone, infact we quit for a while, then started up again around 2 or 3am and went until 5. and we beat a lot of hard songs! and went up against Mark, and Farren, and Robert, and whatnot. It was pretty fun :) And later Mark kicked my ass at Tetris Attack, and Keevon owned me at PNM battle mode, and I dunno, it's all a blur. i was happy to see casey, it had been months, I think... and it's always good to talk to robert. and to play games! yeah! i wish i could just always get together with people to play videogames randomly... it's not like i have to throw big parties to play IIDX sessio or monkeyball or tetris attack or whatnot.
