uncrowded wednesdaaaaaay
Heh, I spent like two frantic hours at work trying to finish up a whole lot of stuff so I could leave to go to IZ... and of course nobody was at IZ at all. I forgot to eat today, so I was really dizzy and puke-a-riffic at IZ, too. Sucked. I don't know, some Wednesdays there are a TON of us, and sometimes there just aren't, y'know? I guess saying nobody was there is unfair. Farren was sick this week, so he didn't go. Allan and Laura were there in some mad air hockey showdown, and Kiefer was there for a bit but left shortly after I got there. So Steve was there and I got to hang out with him, but I was in a pretty rotten mood for various reasons. Poor Steve. He did a good job of cheering me up by doing lots of PPP with his drumsticks. That was cool and made me laugh a lot.
I guess the highlight of the evening for me was theoretically when I got my first ever SDG - 233/5/0/0/0 on B4U Standard. Yes, I used to think I was good at that song a year ago when I broke the 200-perfects barrier, but this was insane. :) I was so totally flustered by it that I nearly fell over. I guess I do better at DDR when I'm feeling like crap?
So uh, we all kind of gave up on IZ around 9-9:15ish. I drove home, getting here by 10, insanely early for an IZ night. And I was starved. So I went into the DDR chat room, failed to convince anyone to go to the UW IHOP, and instead ended up going out to Bellevue after a quick shower. Picked up Crackoon at our super-secret meeting place, hit the road, got to Rumi's place fairly quickly, and we all went down (Aaron also came, and drove) to the Red Robin in overlake. Sadly it closed at 12, not 1. Oh yeah, Steve joined us too, which was a nice surprise since I thought it was just the 4 of us. Anyway, I ate food and I guess not being hungry and being around cool people made me a lot less cranky. It was a really good time. Being spontaneous is fun.
Now if only I had any plans for the next few days... I guess that I need to do laundry and get sewing on my Sakuracon stuff... I need to find a wig store! And maybe I will hit IZ again sometime this weekend when I'm feeling better, we'll see. Depends on what else comes up. I've got quite an urge to play Starfarers of Catan recently, wonder if I can scrounge up some people for that sometime.
I guess today was Ash Wednesday? Maybe everyone is giving up Bemani games for Lent?
Also, huh, I think I actually kind of like the way I did two ponytails today with my hair, maybe I should do that more, I dunno.

I wonder, I mean, I felt horrible playing, and I wasn't consistent at all, but I did pull off two new AA's and that SDG, so what do I know. I'd love to be *consistently* good like you though...

Josh and i really want to go to Met. Grill with you guys. I guess we should just choose a night, and then make reservations. Friday won't work because there is no way i can make myself not hungry until 9pm. Maybe the following week...

but, I don't think it would be raining on our parade to join us for bowling. especially because it means I'd have someone to play DDR with afterwards and wouldn't feel guilty if Eli decided to go home without me.
