Friday Five

1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why?

I have no idea. Does Optimus Prime count? I looooooooooooooved Transformers when I was a kid.

2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got?

A whole lot of the Legoland Town building sets. (To this day I still almost want to cry over not owning some of them - they're so beautiful.) I guess I also really wanted this stuffed puppydog called "Muttsy" that Gund made. Eli bought me one for my 23-and-a-half birthday though. :)

3. What's the furthest from home you've been?

Well, so where is home anyway? ("h* - I'm not sure where I live anymore. This lab/workplace seems like home to me.")

Seriously, I had never been more than 300 miles away from Philadelphia until I turned 22, not counting two trips to Disneyworld (let's face it, that's more like going to a fantasy realm than a real place.) However, the furthest from home, be it Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or Seattle, would have to be my trip to Japan in the summer of 2001. I'm not sure I could get much further away. :)

4. What's one thing you've always wanted to learn but haven't yet?

Well, I always wanted to learn to play violin, but it's doubtful I ever will (being left-handed). I guess I want to learn patience, kindness, and understanding. :) The thing is, in the past, when I've decided "I want to learn something", I've just gone ahead and done it.

5. What are your plans for the weekend?

The funny thing is, I don't really have any. I guess I'll go to band rehearsal on Sunday, but I honestly have no idea what I'm doing this weekend at all... I kind of hope to play CE or some other board game, and maybe I'll go to an arcade, and maybe I'll hang out with Eli and watch movies or something, but... I've been horrible this week about making plans. Bleh. Anyone who wants to claim me, feel free!
