work, bowling, etc

Not much to say about today. Went to work. Started reading Tom Holt's "Faust Among Equals" on the bus. Finished my proposal thingy kinda and sent it off even though it sucks. Had major spicy food from Uwajimaya food line and felt it all day. :) Came home, had a headache. Played some IIDX - passed Frozen Ray Light-7, so that's my 5th or 6th 6-star song. Took Tylenol, laid down... then went bowling with Megan and Josh. Did a little better than last time - a 128 and a 99. Played one round of DDR 3rd mix afterwards, but one of the arrows had like two dead sensors. Grr. Came home.

I guess the new thing I'm vaguely excited over is this DDR Team Tournament thing coming up on Feb 22. My super-awesome friend Steve (Gaffect, not aqua) is running it, and he's encouraging people to enter even if they're not on an "official" team. And it sounds like rather than just being ARC vs. Pink Snails, almost all the teams around here are going to enter! The idea is that any group of 5 people can enter as a team. So various people are putting together small teams for it (aside from ARC, PS, Team Seattle, Team Infinity, Meitricks (?), Pozers, DXtreme). Like Keevon and Okaeshi and Jerrad will probly put something like a Team We Will Rock You together. And Laura and people might do Mattitude Followers. And I'm hoping to get Farren, Kiefer, Keiichi, Torgo, and I registered as a team for it too. Whee, and it's the day before [profile] arsenic44's 21st birthday so we can all take him out drinking at midnight! :)

Oddly I'm still pretty sure I don't want to enter DM5, and would rather help out. But, I'm somehow excited about entering a tournament as a team. Don't ask how that's different, 'cause I don't know. If anything, you'd think the idea of letting down 5 people when I suck instead of just 1 person would be worse.

EDIT> Jeremy can't do the tournament on Feb 22nd. So we need a fifth still, assuming everyone else can still commit to it. Bleh, maybe organizing a team for this thing *isn't* such a grand idea...
