toki ni wa isogisugite miushinau...
When I was walking home from campus tonight I was thinking about how cool people can be sometimes, and how I totally live for the times when I'm just hanging out with a lot of people doing random stuff.
Since tonight, I went to band, and it was fun to see people (Sally and I were both wearing green Converse shoes today!), and I played pinball, and it was fun, and I hung out with Nick and Clinton, and that was fun, and I got indian food and went to the CS lounge and played everything from Spades to Bridge to Mafia to Silent Football. (No, I'm not kidding about the last part. I told John I could probly run a game of it for the KGB party tomorrow, and I wanted practice, so I ran a small game in the lounge. We'll see if I make it to the party tomorrow...) I got to see Martin (hi Martin!!!), and Jason Reed, and Dan and Carl were there, and Eugene the staff/Pitt dude, and when Evan came in we recruited him as an eighth for Mafia, and so on. Whee! Mafia is a lot of fun even though it's utterly random. I think it'd be better with many more people though. And people kept telling what I was doing because my shirt would move and you could hear it swishing. But anyway...
So I came home and listened to a song I was listening to during work today, and was singing along to the karaoke track while Eli continued scanning pictures of kittens. Actually, well, here is the chorus, at least. What I think is funny is how Eli was sitting here on the computer and I was singing and he had no idea what any of these words mean but if he did I'm sure he would have thought it was really cute. Though it's also sort of funny how I can sing along to things in Japanese sometimes and don't even think about what the words mean. On the other hand, I do that in English too, so what the heck.

So there you go. Subliminal choice of song and of words, maybe? I also learned like three new vocabulary words while trying to figure out the rest of the song - 瞬間, shunkan, which means moment (I knew it but not the kanji), 仲間, nakama, which means friend, and 見守る, mimamoru, to watch over (I knew mamoru was to protect, and miru is to see, so I guess it makes sense that to see someone and protect them is to watch over!)
Sigh. My throat still hurts, though. Can't wait to see the doctor tomorrow and finally hopefully put an end to all this crap...
