A decent day
WHEE!
I got to go to Megan and Josh's tonight, eat pizza, play board games, and be generally jolly! Yay! It's so good that Megan is back in town! (Of course, she leaves again next week.) Oh, and it's Megan's birthday today Wednesday. Happy birthday! Whee!
It was me and Eli, Megan and Josh, and their friends H.P. and Heidi. We played Trans America, which is a really cute railroad game that doesn't involve crayons or any such silly stuff. It was neat. Then we played some Barbarossa. I really suck at clay thingies, although I innovatively made a wizard's hat for the word "Magic", which wasn't guessed, although I'm not sure why. Josh won, of course...
It was a good evening though.
I finished off my second round of DDR cryptics on the BBS tonight... I'll post them in a bit.
I had a pretty funny lunch hour. I walked out of the Amazon building, sort of on auto-pilot to Uwajimaya, and then I realized, "HEY, IT'S A NICE DAY OUT, AND I DON'T WANT TO EAT ASIAN FOOD FOR LUNCH!"
So I got on the busway to Westlake. They have a nice food court there with just about any kind of food imaginable. My goal was to get the most non-asian food possible. What did I have? A corn dog and french fries, with some cherry lemonade. I think that's pretty non-asian. Goal accomplished! And it only took 50 minutes to go there, eat, and come back.
Hmm. I feel pretty content right now. I got to play board games, see my friends, I'm feeling kinda clever over my DDR cryptics, and confident that we'll be able to have the house ready for a warming by the weekend. Looking forward to playing DDR tonight at Illusionz, and seeing Dreams Come True on friday night, and...
Also momentous: I finished KOR manga book 1 on the bus home tonight. First time in about 3-4 years that I actually read through a whole book of manga in any respectable amount of time (A week is respectable at 20-30 pages a day...). I feel really good about that... I really lapsed on reading manga after I stopped taking Japanese class. If I actually finish all the KOR manga I have, I'll have to take a trip to visit
oren and the Mandarake down there. :)
