short shameful confession

I *like* putting together Ikea furniture.

...except the part where my hands hurt from turning allen wrenches and I'm picking out little splinters...

I love putting shit together! Ikea or not! I always get this job in my family because my sister is really bad at it! It's funny that you mention allen wrenches though, because Short Girl was also just complaining about them, and how she would prefer a regular screw driver, but in my experience (which is somewhat vast) I really rather prefer them! I guess it depends tho, because yeah, if you have to use the short turn-y end, then they do just plain suck. But yeah, building stuff and putting stuff together RULES! My friend Heather is supposed to teach me how to weld!!! :D Wooooo!

I so agree. Putting things together rocks!! And welding, that is fun. I've done some arc welding. Had a natural talent for it too. My welds were nice, even, straight. It was a little add at first tho. You put the mask on and its completely dark. You blindly strike the welding rod to start the ark, then you can see.
