Janthina Forgot to Add the Fabric Softener

(Hmm, I wonder if anyone reading this will actually get the reference in the subject. [personal profile] shandrew is the only one I can think of who might...)

Doing laundry, anyway. I like having our own laundry machines. I would have tried to go to Megan and Josh's house tonight except that Megan is still in DC. Doh! This is bad for a few reasons: 1) there might not be Quiz night for us tomorrow 2) i don't know how to get to the doctor's tomorrow and Megan was supposed to show me where it is 3) there were like tornadoes or something out there. Bad.

Eli made me tuna tataki for dinner tonight. I am not kidding. He went and got tuna steak and marinated it and put pepper and stuff on it and seared it and cut it and made dipping sauce and.. you get the idea. It was like, the quality of what you get in restaurants. And he wonders why I never want to cook... I make simple crap like noodles and he makes gourmet dinners.

I wanted to play DDR 5th mix after work, and I even got to the Seattle Center at 6:15, but alas, they were closing the arcade then. The guys said "well, we technically stay open till 7 but we're supposed to close up when the arcade starts to empty out". Sigh. Next time I'll try to get there by 6, I guess. They are open Friday nights, but it's a better idea to go to Illusionz if I'm going to play on Fridays.

Work was ok. I tried to go buy that Eurobeat 130 CD set I saw the other day, except it was gone. Doh! I wonder if I should get Kinokuniya to buy another copy...

Dude, tuna tataki involves
(-0- (optional) sprinkle pepper on)
-1- pan-sear for 30 seconds a side.
well and -2- slice slice slice

Does that qualify as simple crap yet?

Fabric softener

Didn't there used to be a commercial where a little cartoon woman (because only women do laundy, apparently) was frantically running to the basement of her apartment because she forgot to add the fabric softener? She would arrive right when the cleaning implement would expire from lack of softener.

I don't understand why Janthina would need fabric softener though.
