a tired friday

I was really really tired today. This morning I sent mail to Melissa and Paul asking if they wanted to get lunch. Melissa was like "Uhhh... I'm free, hm, next Tuesday." So she sent me an invitation in Exchange to get lunch tuesday. heh. So I got lunch alone again. I actually tried to take a nap outside for a bit, but failed (I stared at the sky for a while instead). Then I got lunch (chow fun and general tso's). While paying for my lunch the cashier was like "Oh, I am looking at your characters" and I didn't get it and I'm wearing my Kinkakuji shirt and then I was like "Oh, I went to Kyoto last summer and saw the temples..." and she asked how long I'd been there and all that sort of stuff. It was sort of cool.

In the afternoon I was still pretty tired, and lots of people weren't around, and I was falling asleep in front of my monitor, so I went for a walk to Paul's cube which is upstairs from me. He has a corner cube with quite a view! You can see all of downtown from there. He was like "have you had lunch yet?" and it was 3:30pm or so. (heh) We walked to the bakery/deli next to US1, but I was too full from lunch to eat anything else. Eh. So, I did some work today, and I'm waiting on review for some docs, and etc etc.

Eli got our stuff moved into our new house! Yay!

After work I came home and fell asleep. Well, not exactly. But, I was really zonked. Eventually after a short nap, I went to a party at [profile] idle_thoughts's house, with [profile] seanmcguire, [personal profile] jeliza, [personal profile] rubylou and Eli of course. It was weird since it was all dark and I couldn't see anything, and all the people looked sort of like people I know in Pittsburgh (lots of people of both genders with long hair and glasses). So, the highlights for me were playing with Brian's dog, who is adorable, and playing with the fridge (which had this rube-goldberg-like set of ramps and marbles and crap). But, it was hard to meet people since I couldn't really see anything AND I was really tired. So, oh well. We came home. Megan and Josh got home shortly after us. The Mariners lost :( And we're going to the game on Sunday! I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo psyched.

and soooooooooooooooo tired. I'm really liking Seattle though. It got colder here again, and I'm happy.
