Blitzball makes my head hurt

Today: work. Took the local bus instead of the express by accident. Torturous hour of commute instead of 30 minutes, augmented by two wheelchaired people on the bus (interesting but not great when you are feeling retarded for taking the wrong bus). Work good. Wrote a document this morning, even. Had it usertested while at another orientation thing. Found out I have another govvie friend here (Mike Sha, who was one of my students in 1997). Am learning a lot, and things seem pretty happy.

Evening: Got food at Uwajimaya for dinner. Stopped at Kinokuniya while there. Rumania Montevideo has a new album! So I bought it. Then I got back to work and noticed that my windows box has no CD drive. Went to Mike the Boss. "Hi, what's up?" "My computer has no CD drive. Is this normal?" "Uhhh... no." "Hm." "Yeah, we'll have to get you one." Whee. Hung out til 7pm despite getting in at 9am, and then took a bus or two to the Seattle Center to play DDR.

DDR! Yay! Though it was only 5th mix, I was pretty happy to play some DDR. There were these two guys, probly around 16 years old, who I played with a bit. I picked all pop songs and they picked all stuff like Drop Out and the normal bragging songs. I found it really funny that the one kid could pass all these catas but couldn't pass Petit Love maniac. That was just really weird. Eh. Wasted all my change (I hope I can borrow money for the bus tomorrow from Eli) and then came home. Played some FFX and listened to my new CD. Megan and Josh go to Gencon tomorrow... hopefully we can find some people in Seattle to hang out with this weekend.

Tomorrow morning I have to be at work really early, so I best sleep...

Kinokuniya is one of the number one reasons I cannot save money... I go to Uwajimaya every Friday to stock up and I always end up there spending mad amounts of money... *sigh*

By the way, get the hookup with a bus pass. :) My company has a program where they will provide me with a bus pass, and I just pay taxes on part of it if it's more than a $2.50 (or something) bus pass. For downtown, you'd probably fall into the $1.50-$2 category, so shouldn't have that problem. But see if Amazon has this program, and even if they don't it'll still be cheaper to buy a pass rather than pay cash.

Amazon definitely has a bus pass program. I don't know details.

Ah, that's classic. I hope you showed him. That's a good song to get a lot of perfects on, IMHO. Kind of like www.Blonde.Girl.

Plus I thought it was even less fun than the card game in FF9. What were they thinking?

I'm sure if you looked hard enough, you might be able to find *someone* in Seattle to hang out with...
