That text definitely appeared some time this week.

My question is: Who ran the 1989 Hunt then? Or more importantly, since it says Black Seven did, *why* did they run the Hunt? The article says Black Seven won the 1988 Hunt, which...didn't exist? In any case, Eric is clearly not on the Black Seven, so he didn't construct the 1989 Hunt. The article is from 1991, anyway, so while I can see him screwing up the 1980/1981 thing, I don't see how he could easily mess up quite recent history. But who knows?

The 1987 Hunt solutions have the coin located in a freezer in Building 66. Eric's article has his (1988?) located in locker 4059 in room 7-434 (with the soon-to-be-melted lock). So they can't be the same. Oh wait, but the article--and the Google map of coin locations--say that the 1987 coin was in a wallet at duPont. None of the coins are listed as being in a freezer in Building 66. The closest is a Building 26 freezer in...1989.

Eric says "For various reasons, I ended up running the hunt alone the following January." Maybe there was some confusion, and the Hunt still happened despite this mysterious guy dropping out?

There are at least two names in the Albert article. One (Stephen Rinehart '93) apparently contributed something to the Google map. So it can't be too hard to figure out, right? It may help to know who submitted the 2014 note, too.

I hope someone can figure this out eventually! I definitely love all the work you guys have done on the Hunt archiving (and the puzzle index!).
