> I feel bad even complaining, because the whole Hunt was so cool, but you guys asked for feedback
feedback is actually super-useful! Part of the reason we talked about the runaround at wrapup wasn't necessarily that we thought it was A Great Runaround To Emulate, but that we wanted to explain why we made the choices we did - since we don't think they'd be the right choices for most Hunts. We've definitely had a bunch of thoughts on how we would do it differently next time, including (thanks to your feedback) "be explicit about how you nerf or modify the runaround, so that it's consistent between batches." Most of the runaround challenges were designed to dial up or down in intensity/time, and I think we did the right thing in leaving them at full strength until the coin was found... but I think we screwed up in not coordinating how to dial them down for the second batch of teams.
sorry if I sounded offended - mostly I want to provide an alternative narrative to "Sealab sucked and was showing favoritism to their friends' teams" since I am pretty sure the screwups were due to poor communication and not malice :)
