A few days
I have a cold. This kinda sucks. I've basically had a cold since Sunday evening I think.
I'm going to write a quick sentence summary of the last week:
Thurs: went to Kinokuniya and got college ball magazine after work
Fri: Was gloomy about indecision and uncertain social life, stayed late at work and played Descent
Sat: Went to Potrero Center in the afternoon, went to Sauce and then saw a musical (Bring it On) with Ben in the evening at the Orpheum (walked 5 miles all day!) and then had late-night gaming
Sun: Went to Tanforan in the afternoon. Started feeling sick
Mon: Felt sick
Tue: was supposed to do trivia, didn't. Still felt sick
I think my cold is FINALLY breaking. I was so sniffly today but actually, my DayQuil has worn off and I'm not sniffling. So, that's good.
Friday night Jordan gave me a ride home from work at 1am because the trains were done. (I didn't play Descent THAT long because it made me dizzy.) He had the Best of Spitz 1997-2005 CD in his car and I'm like "...did you KNOW this is my favorite band?" No, turns out his Japanese conversation partner gave it to him. So he's like "...do all older women like Spitz?"
Yeah.
Saturday it was funny at the shopping center because its the former site of Seals Stadium. I went into Office Depot and stood in the former site of home plate. Nothing's there to mark it, I just know about it because of a webpage I read. I ate at Boston Market. It's where the outfield was.
Ben and I met up at a restaurant which was awesome, and then saw a musical, which wasn't. It was largely a lot of cool choreography with cheerleaders flying in the air, and then there was a plot, and the plot was nothing like the movies (though actually a better plot). The thing is, the first act just kinda sucks, you can't really find yourself caring about these characters at all. But the second act is quite good. There's really only one very well-defined male character, which may also be kind of weird, there's a lot of characters, but only one guy who actually *does* anything in the plot. I dunno. It may suffer from the fact that anyone who wants to watch highschoolers doing a musical and cheerleaders and all these days is just going to watch Glee.
When I got home at 11pm I had a text from Phil like "We're gonna bring some people back after the concert and play board games starting at 1am, ok?" But in the end it was just Phil and Jenny bringing back Mike D, so the 4 of us played Super Set and then Tichu until like 4am. Good times.
Sunday, Tanforan Mall is nice, at least for something I can get to on BART. Has lots of stores like Penney's and whatnot that I usually shop at, and even an Ichiban Kan, though Aya tells me they have one in Japantown. I picked up Qwirkle at B&N because I was happy the mall had a bookstore.
Tuesday we were supposed to do trivia, but Elixir is a SUPER SMALL place, and then John and Cat couldn't make it anyway, and I was sick. So...
I dunno.
