In San Francisco. Had an goodbye unparty on Saturday, mostly because I mean, I'll be back for a day to get my stuff next weekend, and also, I'm sure I'll be back to visit fairly often. The unparty consisted of people playing board games and videogames while I mostly worked on packing and hung out a little and played a few games.
Flew down here to SF yesterday. The flight was at sunset, and I saw such amazing skies -- imagine the horizon in navy blue, with a rainbow of color warding outwards from it -- sunset red and orange, to yellow and green and blue that faded back to dark. And then something like ships or some other form of lights on the ground that looked like shooting stars.
First day of work today... it's weird coming back to a company from contracting to full-time after a few months. Had to do more paperwork for HR but that was the main difference. Well, and we didn't play cards or games at all. People actually said "Oh, now that you're back maybe we can hang out and play cards again?" I dunno. I mean, anyway, it was good to be back but a little surreal. Hard to explain exactly.
I should just post the "what's up with the not-haunted house" story without finishing it already...
