BTW, I got here okay. Staying in Nakano-Sakaue in the 2nd room of a 3-room guesthouse that my friend Kozo lives in. It's almost exactly the same kind of house as my Akabane house was! Just a different neighborhood (we can walk to Shinjuku station in like, 30 minutes?)
Last night was basically getting into Narita, finding out that cellphone rentals suck and American iphones are locked, then getting on a train, meeting Kozo at Shinjuku, coming here, doing the rental agreement (I'm on a "monthly" lease for this room for 70,000 yen), and then just hanging out until like 10pm, when I crashed. Got up at 6amish.
It seems that my phone can RECEIVE texts and maybe calls from the US but I can't seem to send ANYTHING from it, though wireless works too. One of our errands this morning is that Kozo's going to help me get hooked up with a temporary phone. So, yay.
I wrote about 2/3 of my Puzzlehunt entry while on the plane, maybe I'll finish that up this afternoon before I go to the Dome? We'll see.
