We're in Pittsburgh!

So yeah, less than 48 hours after arriving back in the US I am already on the other side of the country. :) We're at Roman and Kelli's place. I napped for 2 hours yesterday afternoon so I'm still pretty awake because my system is all lagged. Mike didn't sleep at all on the planes either though, so he's napping. I should nap too. Then we'll go to the Kiltie concert and stuff.

Not sure what we'll do tonight. If nothing comes up I'm dragging Mike either to Del's to to the Pirates game. I really really wanna go to Del's and eat eggplant parmesan. It's been YEARS.

I guess in terms of my normal LJing my life, yesterday we had a lunch gathering with some puzzle friends at Microsoft, I got to see the Commons for the first time. Holy crap! Then I went home and slept for 3 hours or so while doing laundry. I should have probly done more productive stuff but well, this is me, after all. Woke up in time to pack and to get Mike from work and we went to get salads for dinner, and then I finished packing and we went to the airport.

Our flight was a redeye. Also, since this part of the trip was on United, we got all the things that I get for being a 100,000-mile Premier frequent flier -- free upgrades to Economy Plus and waitlisted for 1st class. (Our return trip is not United. Bleh.) But yeah, we spent most of the flight doing puzzles or playing videogames (I played Ouendan a lot, Mike played with his 3DS). Layover in Chicago, we got pretzels, and then got on another plane to come here. And then here, we took the 28X into town! It's all nostalgic and stuff.

One thing about the flight -- on the way there, some jackass puts his too-big carry-on into the overhead compartment horizontally. We switch it to be vertical so that you can fit 3 bags into it. It won't close, and he gets really angry. We're like "Dude, your bag is too big if it won't close that way -- it should fit three bags," and he's like "what are you talking about, you're allowed to put your bags however you want, why did you move my bag?" It really annoys me how people do that -- they'll bring a carryon and a backpack and put both of them AND their jacket into the overhead compartment like it's ok for 1 person to take up the room that's supposed to be for 3 people. Gah people suck.
