Met up with Stewart around 6pm. Walked around the area to find a place to get dinner; went to the Caribou Cafe, a slightly upscale-ish place down between12th and 13th on Walnut. I had grilled tuna and Stewart had leg of lamb and the food was really, really good - they made the tuna rare, rather than Pittsburgh rare, which was really cool. The place had their own pastry chef and we had some weird custard strawberry cake for dessert. Mmmm. After dinner we walked to the Walnut Street Theatre (at 9th and Walnut) and saw Damn Yankees. I really liked it and thought the dancing was fantastic and the set was fantastic, and the singing was really good except that the male lead sang more like an opera singer than a broadway singer and it was a little strange at parts. But, all in all it was a good experience. We somehow managed to have seats in the 8th row center of the theatre, which were truly fantastic, and Stewart was like "well, is it because there are understudies tonight?" but no, it was the whole real cast. We just got lucky or something. After the show we chatted for a while and then I came home and now I am wasting time. I should be sewing but I don't feel like it yet.
