no baseball = no life
So I bought one of the Ghost Sloops you can get this month in PP. It's cute. But the big feature of this ship in particular is that there's a ghost haunting it... and unlike swabbies, the ghost is consistently always the same ghost on your ship.
Well, mine is named "Ghastly Rick".
I am really really tempted to see if I could find out if it's possible to petition the OMs to rename the ghost to "Rick Ghastly".
I doubt it'll fly, but I'm never gonna give... no, just kidding.
Anyway.
It's already almost Friday and this week has not been particularly wonderfully exciting. One thing I did this week was long overdue in that I finally went through some of my high school baseball photos from this summer to print out for some people. At least a few of the boys I saw are going to be in the draft; if Shutoku's Mitsumata gets picked it's going to set off a whole bunch of people I know. So Tuesday night, I ate sushi for dinner at Heiroku and then came home and worked on photos and goofed off and whatever.
Wednesday I went toYodobashi Akihabara after work to print photos. Got dinner at Chabuton for a change (it's the ramen shop on the 8th floor) which was actually pretty much near perfection; I'm not even a soup person and yet there's something about a huge bowl of flavorful miso ramen with handmade noodles that is... well, I should make a point of eating it more often before I leave Japan. Sigh.
Tonight I just came home after work to watch the Marines-Hawks playoff game (the Marines won on a Naruse CG). I wish it was the Fighters, but hey, can't be helped at this point. It's weird because I want to cheer for Lotte and at the same time I feel a tinge of "it's not fair that Bobby isn't in that dugout".
Also bleh I'm lazy; I really was supposed to look through my files for some Rikkio University player photos to print out tonight -- captain Soichiro Tanaka threw his name into the draft pile and I really should make an effort to get his autograph before he graduates, I've been watching him play for 4 years too. Pretty crazy, really. I feel kind of like I'm "graduating" this year too, in a way.
