Dear Gaijinpot,
You should have come up with job postings like this one LAST year around this time. Or two years ago. Not NOW. You suck.
Hmmm, I don't have a lot to say about last night entry-wise. I came home from school, got sushi at Heiroku for the first time in a month or so (I know this because my last coupon expired), waited for a DVD to show up from a rescheduled delivery, did laundry, goofed off on Puzzle Pirates, and watched said DVD, which was the Spring 2008 Tokyo Big 6 DVD.
I really wish they'd continued making those DVDs after fall 2008 :( But this was plenty nostalgic, and there were a few games that I'd been to, although at the time I had a lot less context for it than I do now (I do remember wanting to go see Saitoh face off against Meiji's Shinji Iwata... little did I know that two years later I'd be watching Shinji Iwata pitch for the Dragons). So it was still good.
Also, since I'd forgotten exactly when, last night marked a somewhat frightening milestone, in that I've now been playing Puzzle Pirates for 7 years (I was around since the beta test). More amusing may be that I stopped reading the forums around 5-6 years ago, and that I haven't even really been in an active crew for the last 4-5 years either (or any crew at ALL for the last year). Mostly, these days, I use the game as a way to sit around and idly play some puzzle games, and logging into PP means I get 15 different puzzle games I can play, and I don't need to have a console or anything else. I have some hearties, and they invite me along for stuff often enough that I don't REALLY feel like I'm missing out on anything by not being in a crew. Though, amusingly, the real reason I'm not in a crew right now is that I simply haven't been asked by anyone worthwhile. Shrug.
Actually, what might be even crazier is that I think I'm one of the few players who's BEEN active since 2003 and never was an Oceanmaster. Since pretty much all of my old friends in the game disappeared when they started working for it, basically... or when they started playing WoW instead.
