Rambling, but not about what I should be rambling about

Downtime Friday night, kinda. I went to Ueno to print out some more college ball photos (though they're probably irrelevant, there's a Swallows game after the college ballgames tomorrow so it will be very hard to meet players), and then stopped in McDonald's for dinner, where I discovered that THE TSUKIMI BURGER IS ALREADY GONE you fuckers. They had something called a "tamago cheese double burger" or something which shoulda been basically a double tsukimi burger, but the sauce on it is too spicy and sucks. Sigh. Why the hell McDonald's invents such a great burger and then only has it 3 weeks a year is beyond me.

One nice thing is that the Yodobashi in Ueno has their 2L machine set to print for 40 yen per print instead of 60 yen, and will be on that setting until Oct 4th, so I should probably get my act together for printing more photos out while it's cheaper, maybe. The regular machine is also 20 yen instead of 30.

I have to work at my JHS tomorrow morning, which makes me unhappy, but in the afternoon I should be going to the Hosei-Rikkio game, which makes me a little happier. Mizushima says he's going to leave a ticket for me with one of the head Hosei cheerleader girls and he'll save me a seat in the cheering section. I am skeptical but we'll see. I figure I can't bring my big camera anyway, so might as well yell a lot and make good on my promise to Takahashi-ouendanguy.

On another note, a book I wanted about a particular chapter in the history of Tokyo Big 6 baseball that I have been researching in my spare time, was going for like 4000 yen used on amazon.co.jp, so I said no way. Just checked the other day after a few months, and it was selling for 1200 yen, so I ordered a copy! Score! The silly thing is that I also ordered a copy of the 2008 Spring Semester Tokyo Big 6 DVD, and a CD of college baseball marching band music. The total for all three of them was around 4500 yen, plus shipping... so in reality I didn't exactly save money since I still spent it. It's just that now I get 3 things instead.

What's nuts is, I ordered them Wednesday night. I had a thing in my mailbox already from an attempted delivery today. Not sure which item it was. I'm pretty sure I'll miss another one tomorrow, so I'm thinking I should just pick a time to be at home like Monday or Tuesday night and schedule everything to be delivered then as the slips come in over the weekend. Eh.

Still trying to figure out if I should go to Nagano on Sunday for the Albirex vs. Grandserows game and how it'll work out. I really do want to see Olympic Stadium though, and it feels like this may be my last chance, pretty much. Hideki Nagasaka posted some nice photos of it on his blog a few weeks ago... and I feel like maybe I should go say hi to him again although it seems that he hasn't pitched since the middle of July, a week or two after I met him. Not sure what's up with that exactly, I can't tell from his blog. It'll cost me like 12000 yen round trip for the train to go there. I won't get a new prefecture out of it but I think I'll get an interesting baseball experience (particularly if I show up wearing a Niigata Albirex t-shirt.. hehe)

And Monday too. It's a day off from school. I figure I should go to Kamagaya for the last game of the year there.

I hate when the season is winding down and I have to seriously make decisions about where to go and what teams to see and know that it's my last chance for a lot of them.
