Seibu nights, part 2
So there is this typhoon thing passing through our part of Japan right now. The Seibu Dome is ostensibly a dome but really it is just a stadium with a roof on top of it, and it is open-air on the sides, so because of the strong winds and rain, being under a dome roof mattered not at ALL, and it was effectively raining lightly in the outfield seating for the entire game, so as a change from being ridiculously hot, everyone was cold and wet instead during the game. It is kind of an improvement.
The Fighters lost the game though, and this time it wasn't even a late-inning thing, the Lions just took a lead and kept adding to it.
I barely moved from the spot I was in for the entire game, it was just too wet and gloomy. Sakamoto was at the game but I didn't really go visit him because it would have required going to a wetter part of the stands.
After the game we went to play catch on the field for "Fan Fun Night"... I played catch with Tsuyoshi first and then with Watanabe. Takuma was there but he had a friend with him so they just played catch together (even though I was like "dude come play catch with us"). All in all it was fun, it was like 30 minutes and we were getting kicked off in what seemed REALLY soon!
I got hit in the neck with a throw once actually -- it hurt like hell at the time, but I don't seem to have any lasting damage or bruising from it, which I guess is good.
I wore my Ogasawara jersey, which I wear like twice a year, I figured this is one of my last games so I might as well. Some Seibu ouendan were yelling crap at me in the station, which was annoying. And the Fighters ouendan were on the next train car over from us... they came through our car, saw us, and kept going. They can be rather unfriendly sometimes.
Tonight is my last Fighters game, not counting possible Kamagaya ones, or maybe a spontaneous roadtrip. It's kind of weird.
